Our Two Part Concrete Slab Inspection Process
At New Home Building Inspections, our concrete slab inspections are completed in two parts. The first inspection is carried out before the concrete is poured, when we check the steel reinforcement, boxing and other components of the slab preparation. Identifying issues at this stage provides an opportunity for them to be addressed before the concrete is poured.
The second inspection is carried out after the concrete has been poured. At this stage, we check the finished slab, including that it is straight, level and square, that it is in accordance with the floor plan and that there are no visible defects or damage.
